Markers Are for Paper

Here's the photo from Friday when I discovered that Little K had taken it upon herself to decorate her skin. She was not happy about me entering her nap room made art studio. Luckily, Little K did not decorate her aunt's bedding or walls. And we finally got all the marker off her skin, except her belly button. Every time I tried to wash it, Little K skirmed & giggled. Oh well. Little K is now very good at saying "Markers are for paper." I'll post more photos from our Galveston weekend soon.
Until the next nap time...

That is priceless!! She is welcome to turn my room into her personal art studio any time!

That face! She knows exactly how sweet and pathetic she looks - you're a better woman than I am if you could resist that. It's the exact look C sports when she comes out of her room an hour after bedtime. It's all I can do not to scoop her up and kiss her to pieces!

I stumbled across your blog at Christmas and saved a link. Today I was going through my favorites and revisited your page. I have a daughter who is nearly four. On Mother's Day last year, we were all taking a Sunday afternoon nap. I awoke to my daughter saying "Mommy" very quietly. I opened my eyes and she was completely green. She had chosen to spend her nap time becoming Ozian. She was very thorough and was entirely green from head to the bottom of her feet. I got to spend the next hour trying to scrub the green off in the bath tub. It mostly came off, but she was tinted for about a week. Needless to say, markers and pens were off-limits for a while.
